Porsche unveiling 911 Targa at Detroit Motor Show

Porsche has unveiled another model in its 911 lineup; the 911 Targa. The car is being presented at the Detroit Motor Show which just began yesterday.

The new Targa keeps characteristics of the original model. It features a wide bar in place of the B pillars, a movable roof section above the front seats and and a wrap around rear window without a C pillar. The roof of the new Targa can be opened or closed electrically via a button. On opening, the roof is stored behind the rear seats.

Porsche will be offering the Targa in two variants:

The 911 Targa 4 powered by a 3.4 litre flat six motor with 350 horsepower. With the PDK gearbox and the Sport Chrono package, t goes from 0 to 100 kph in 4.8 seconds and does a top speed of 282 kph.
